Terms

AVE Terms.

Effective date: June 20, 2026.

Product

AVE is a macOS video editor by TinyThings. The current release is AVE 1.0.0 for Apple Silicon, M1 or later running macOS 14.0 or later. These terms apply to the AVE website, downloads, desktop app, Free use, Pro purchase, and support interactions.

License to use AVE

TinyThings grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use AVE for lawful personal or business video editing, subject to these terms and any limits shown in the app. You may not reverse engineer, resell, sublicense, abuse, or use AVE to violate law, third-party rights, platform rules, or contracts.

Free and Pro

AVE Free lets you edit and try AI on small projects. AVE Pro Lifetime is a $79 lifetime purchase for the local Mac app and unlocks the Pro features described in the app and on the Pro page. Purchase details and license keys are managed through Polar.

Pro is for the local AVE Mac app. Future hosted compute, managed generation credits, team infrastructure, cloud services, or third-party provider usage may be separate. If a purchase, refund, tax, or payment issue arises, Polar and payment-provider terms may also apply.

External services and providers

AVE can connect to optional third-party services such as installed assistants, custom API endpoints, BYO generation providers, GitHub Releases, and Polar checkout. You are responsible for choosing providers, keeping credentials safe, reviewing provider terms, and making sure your footage and prompts may be sent to those providers.

User content

You keep your rights to the footage, audio, images, prompts, edits, project files, and exports you use with AVE. You are responsible for having the rights, permissions, releases, and licenses needed for your content and final videos.

Product changes

AVE is early software and may change quickly. Features, limits, provider support, Pro behavior, update behavior, and export support may change as the product develops. Back up important projects and media before using AVE for critical work.

No professional advice

AVE can help with editing, planning, and creative workflow, but it does not provide legal, business, compliance, or professional advice. Review generated plans, captions, edits, and exports before publishing or delivering client work.

Warranty and liability

AVE is provided on an as-is and as-available basis to the maximum extent permitted by law. TinyThings does not promise that AVE will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every workflow. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TinyThings will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost media, or lost business.

Support and changes

For support, contact support@tinythings.app. TinyThings may update AVE and these terms as the product changes. The effective date above shows when these terms were last materially updated.
